Reminder for Middle School Scheduling

Scheduling Form Attached

The scheduling form is due to your elementary school teacher no later than Thursday, March 17, 2022. We will be at Liberty, Granby & Worthington Hills to help your students enter their elective choices on Thursday.
2022 McCord for incoming 6th grade students!

Thank you so much to those of you who were able to make it out to McCord last night for our transition meeting. We hope you found the evening informative and helpful.

As there was a lot of information and we know everyone was not able to attend, we are sending this follow up email. Here is the link to the McCord Welcome Video. Please also share this with your student. We found that it often helps to ease some anxiety about the transition to middle school.

Attached is the scheduling sheet for next year. Please read the directions at the top, complete the form and return to your students' elementary school teacher before March 17th. McCord staff will be at the elementary schools on March 17th to help students enter their course requests.

We understand that the transition to middle school, while exciting, is often stressful, not only for students but adults as well. As we get closer to the start of the school year, you will receive more information from us about what to expect and helpful videos, such as where to drop off your student and how to open a locker.

Some important dates to note:

  • August 8th - Wolves Round Up. Students can pick up their schedule, walk around the building and meet your teachers.
  • August 10th - WEB Day. This is for students only. Incoming 6th grade students meet with our 8th grade peer mentors and have a fun morning getting to know each other and the building. This day is optional but most students attend as it helps ease the transition.
  • August 17th - First Day of School
  • September 12th - 14th - Sixth grade camp @ Camp Nuhop

We are so excited to welcome your students next year in our McCord Pack! Go Wolves!
