A Message from Our New Principal for the Upcoming School Year
Dear Lakeview Families,
It is with great excitement and pride that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed principal of Lakeview Elementary! I know firsthand what an amazing school Lakeview is and I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a campus with such a rich tradition of education. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work in partnership with staff, parents, and community members to continue the excellence.
It is my belief that in order to attain personal success and achievement, students must be met with high academic standards along with social emotional support. Learning is emotional. We, at Lakeview, will always strive to create and cultivate a positive and safe learning environment that is essential to academic achievement. I look forward to continuing my relationship with students, as well as getting to know their personalities, learning styles and interests. It is important that students learn essential life skills. Accepting challenges, taking risks, learning from mistakes, and thinking critically are all character traits we hope to develop in order to better prepare our children to confidently navigate their future.
Not only am I excited to continue the legacy that is Lakeview, I look forward to the work we will do together. Each student's success is the shared responsibility of students, families, schools, and communities. It is important to me that we see our students through your eyes. The saying, “it takes a village” is absolutely true, and it will take our collective collaboration to make certain our students reach their fullest potential.
Please know that I am here to serve, and I believe that you play an integral role in the education of your child. My door is always open and I welcome your input. I look forward to working with you as a team to help each student at Lakeview meet their goals and have a successful school year!
Sincerely,
Erika Oster
