Principal Post

A special THANKS goes out to Mr. Joe Scudiero for creating and hanging the Jog-a-Thon mural hanging in the DuJardin lobby. It is a great addition to the entrance of the school and a wonderful way to celebrate such a worthwhile event at DuJardin! Thanks again Mr. Scudiero for this awesome gift!

Winter is right around the corner and as a reminder to both parents and students, line up outside before school and outdoor recess will take place when the air temperature including any “wind chill” is at 10 degrees Fahrenheit or above. Please make sure your child is dressed properly for the winter weather. Students may participate in “winter rules,” which means playing in the snow piles during recess only if they are properly dressed in their winter gear, which includes a winter jacket, snow pants, hat, gloves and boots. It is school policy that if a student is healthy enough to attend school this student is healthy enough to go out for recess. A doctor’s note is needed in order for a student to stay in at recess.

As a reminder Bloomingdale School District 13 uses an emergency phone broadcast system and notification service throughout our school community. This service is called Blackboard Connect and enables us to communicate with parents about emergency situations including any significant weather event and the need to cancel school for the day. Emergency school closing information can be sent to your family's home, work, or cell phones. We will be able to reach everyone in the district within minutes.

  • When a call comes from the school (or district), your caller ID will display the school (or district) phone number.
  • The system is carefully calibrated to determine whether a person or voicemail has been reached, and background noise may affect the delivery. If possible, move to a quiet area to hear the message.
  • Additionally, it is important that DuJardin School has all of your current telephone numbers so that you will not miss out on any important communications. Please be aware that the Blackboard Connect service cannot dial or call an extension, so be sure we have a direct line where you can be reached to get this important information.

2019-2020 Illinois Parent Survey

Dear Parent, The Illinois State Board of Education invites you to participate in a school improvement survey for parents. In this survey, you will be asked to provide feedback about DuJardin School. Please consider your child’s current experience at school (i.e., 2019-2020 school year). This survey is designed to help school and district leadership improve their understanding of the parent/school relationship.

All responses are completely anonymous. Responses to anonymous surveys cannot be traced back to the respondent. Additionally, your responses will be combined with other parents from DuJardin School and summarized in a school report to further protect your anonymity. Your participation in this survey is voluntary and you have the right to discontinue participation at any point.

If you have more than one (1) child, you may elect to participate multiple times.

The 5Essentials Parent Survey is now open. Parents are encouraged to complete this survey. Please use the following link to access the parent survey:
