Concert Band Google Calendar

Please use the Google Calendar linked below to stay up-to-date with the Concert Band schedule. This calendar will remain updated with lesson times and performance dates.

This calendar is also available to view on Schoology under "Lesson Information" as well as the New Oxford Bands website.

Grades Update

As we near the end of the marking period, the only assignments left are as follows:

  • Lesson Attendance (3 needed- proficiency testing will count as 1)
  • Proficiency Testing (Scales portion and Solo Portion)

Please note that there is very limited time left for make-up lessons due to the fact all of my open time-slots will be filled with individual proficiency testing until the end of the quarter. Please use the Google Calendar (linked above) to keep an eye on your lesson opportunities for the third marking period. Plan ahead; do not wait until the last moment to get your lessons in.

Proficiency Testing will be scheduled primarily over the week of January 6. Students have had materials for a month in order to prepare to the best of their abilities. Please continue preparing via the instructions provided in your packet.

Can't find your proficiency information? The full packet was emailed via Skyward before break and a copy can be found under the Proficiency Information folder in Schoology.

NYC Trip: Payment 2 PAST Due

A reminder that the second installment of $50.00 is due for anyone attending the NOHS Music Department Trip to New York City. Please submit this at your nearest opportunity if you have not already. Checks can be made out to NOBB.

All parents who signed up to chaperone are approved to attend so long as they have active clearances in with CVSD and their volunteer application has been approved by the Board of Directors. CLICK HERE if you need information on obtaining clearances as a volunteer. Please take care of this ASAP to ensure you are able to attend. If you elected to go and do not complete the mandatory clearances in time, you will still be financially responsible for your trip expenses.

The next installment will be due on February 1st.

Upcoming Events

NOHS Band Booster Meeting

All parents are highly encouraged to participate in the NOHS Band Booster program. Without this support system of parents and volunteers, our band would not be able to offer the number of ensembles and activities that we do!
