October Belonging!
In the month of October our Belonging focus is to include others. This means we include our classmates as we work collaboratively to learn, even though we all learn differently. This means we welcome others into our play and we don't create games that exclude. This means we include others when we walk by with saying HELLO. Join us in sending the message that the way we make our school the best place it can be is to include others as we learn and play.
OUR NEW COVID HEALTH ASSISTANT
We are thrilled to welcome Teresa Graham to our office team as our new COVID Health Assistant. What does this mean? This means you will have one main point of contact for COVID related question in regards to your child returning to school when they are ill. Continue to call the attendance line or use ParentSquare to report absences, but if your child is ill, your child will not be allowed to return to class until a two-way communication with Ms. Graham has occurred.
GRAPEFRUIT - PUBLIC TESTING SITE
The testing pod, Grapefruit will be up and running on October 14th. It will be a public testing site located at the district office and be available to anyone in the community, seven days a week from 7am to 7pm. There are no appointments. Anyone who is testing does a rapid test AND a PCR test. They also have a quick virtual appointment with a medical professional.
GIRL'S BASKETBALL GAMES
Due to the capacity of our multi purpose rooms, we will not be allowing any spectators during our 3 week season. Safety continues to be our number one priority. We want the girls and coaches to play and have fun but since very few of our athletes have access to vaccines at this point in time, we are proceeding with caution.
HELP WANTED!
We are looking for adult help twice a month, your choice on time and day of the week to change out marquee & bulletin board with upcoming information. Please send me an email if you are interested.
OCTOBER 29th- Shortened Day
We will have our Halloween Parade at 9:00. Unfortunately, we will not be able to invite families on to site to view the parade, but I do intend to have a Zoom link invite open for those who would like to watch (link to be sent later). More importantly, October 29th will now be a shortened day, with TK-6 dismissed at 1:57
