Lee's Summit R7 Parents As Teachers

May 2021

Big picture
Wow! What a whirlwind of a school year. There are lots of great things happening in the Lee's Summit R7 School District and especially within Parents As Teachers. We appreciate the support we receive from our great community and your parent educators are working hard while we finish out this school year.

We appreciate your flexibility as we transitioned to virtual visits this year and we have learned much! Thank you for your responses on our parent survey; they give us lots of information and ideas for new things!

Our last day of school is May 27th. Please make sure that you communicate with your parent educator any changes that take place over the summer to ensure smooth services for you and your family.

The question regarding visits for next year...as soon as we know, we will communicate the information we have with you. We are all anxious to return to our in-person visits, but want to ensure the safety of all. Thank you for your understanding as we wait to receive direction.

If your child is headed to kindergarten in the Fall, we wish you well.

From all of us at Lee's Summit R7 Parents as Teachers, THANK YOU

Did you know....

Infant SEE

From birth, babies begin exploring the wonders in the world with their eyes. Eye and vision problems in infants can cause developmental delays. It is important to detect conditions early to ensure babies have the opportunity to develop the visual abilities they need to grow and learn. Under this program, participating doctors of optometry provide a comprehensive infant eye assessment between 6 and 12 months of age free of charge regardless of family income or access to insurance coverage.
