This week at Utsalady....
Hello Utsalady Eagles!
Wow we miss you at school! I am eager to hear what new things you are learning while at home with your families. Teachers are sending out packets of work and emails to you this week.
Let's stay connected online while we are away from our classrooms. This week we've put together some fun things for you to do while at home.
Also, we'd love to learn more about the pets we have in our community. Parents, if you would like to share the name of your child's pet or email a picture to your teacher or uesinfo@stanwood.wednet.edu you are welcome to do so. They might appear in next week's newsletter.
Below is our yorkie Milo. We got him from Mrs. Dahlberg. He’s silly and simple- loves to chase his tail (see the video of us laughing at his silliness). We also have a cat we got from P.A.W.S. and he is a hugger. We love our pets!
I can’t wait to learn more about your pets. We miss you at school and look forward to when school opens again. Until then, exercise every day, listen to great music, read, and write. Have a great weekend and stay #utsaladystrong . Next week I'll be looking for favorite books and authors.
Take care of yourself, Dr. Echols

We Can Do Hard Things! Painted Rocks at UES
Paint a Rock to Bring Back to School
At Utsalady we can do Hard Things. Being away from each other is hard but we we are strong.
A lot of learning is happening while you are with your family. Soon we will be back together.
We are inviting all students to pick out a rock from home, paint it any way you like. On the first day back to school bring your rock with you. We'll share them with your class and place them around the school to remind us of how strong we are. The staff is painting rocks too!
So, get out your paint, be creative, keep your rock until we come back. Take a picture of you and your rock and send it to your teacher!
