Saint Kateri School's Weekly Newsletter ~ August 31, 2020
#SKSproud
It is the last day of August and it is amazing that we have gotten here so quickly! It has been a great summer and one that I hope you have lived each special moment and found the space in your days with your family to really find the JOY in just being here, in this time and space and with these very special people around us ~ God is good, All the time!
Last week we finished up our three Parent Meetings to discuss our Reopening Plan ~ and I have thoroughly enjoyed them! Thank you to the families that participated, and to the sneak peeks of your children saying "HI!" ~ there were great questions. One burning question that came up multiple times was about Birthday Treats! This particular question comes from a need for some "normal" and celebrating the birthday traditions is just that - normal. While birthday treats cannot be homemade this year they can be purchased individually wrapped from a store or individually wrapped from a professional bakery. Students can also bring in a small goodie bag instead ~ (think fun erasers and a fun pencil, etc.) Happy birthday! Please reach out to your child's teacher to arrange birthday celebrations. Parents will not be able to join the festivities at school.
On Tuesday our 2020-2021 school faculty will come together for our first faculty meeting. We will be missing some familiar faces and will be meeting and getting to know some new faces. We will begin with prayer and will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers, carrying you with us this year in prayer ~ We hope you will do the same.
Please read through the entire newsletter to find the pieces of important information you will need to start your child's year off in a great way!
Please know that every day I am praying for you and our school ~ we are such a special community and I appreciate you all more than I can say!
Peace and Light!
