Bellville Elementary Newsletter
September 2020

Thank you for a great beginning to 2020-2021! We have all worked hard to keep students and staff safe and healthy, and we greatly appreciate all of your extra support from home! Please make sure your child has a mask/face covering each day. It would also help if your child had an extra mask in his/her book bag just in case a sneeze or runny nose occurs.
School fees this year are $55 if paid by September 30th for all elementary students. (This includes $40 for school fees and a $15 technology fee.) If school fees are paid on October 1st or after, they will increase to $65. ($50 for school fees and a $15 technology fee.)
School locator card and emergency medical forms need turned in as soon as possible in case the school would need to contact you.
If your child is ill, please call Mrs. Bailey at (419) 886-3244 and leave a specific reason for your child's absence. If it is outside the hours of 7:00-2:30, you can leave a message.
With the possibility of Covid, if your child has a temperature of 100 degrees F or higher, sore throat, uncontrolled cough, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, nausea OR severe headache, your child will be sent home from school and will not be able to return until 48 hours free from symptoms. Our goal is to keep everyone in school, and in order to do this we need to keep Covid out of school!
When your child returns from an absence, please make sure he/she brings in a note from a parent or doctor's excuse upon return.
Library books at home from the spring need turned back into school as soon as possible. Mrs. Long has sent notices home and we are hoping to get all of our library books back.
Picture Day is Tuesday, September 22nd. You have the ability to order online at the website inter-state.com/order using the school code 52149KA. Order forms are coming home this week with details about the available packages and pricing.
There will be no early dismissal for Friday, September 18th or Friday, October 16th. We will be releasing students as normal. Walkers will be released at 1:10, Car riders will start release at 1:15, and bus riders will load buses about 1:20.
If your family is struggling with school supplies or school clothes, please contact me. We can refer your family to The New Store, and we have book bags and supplies from the Bellville Chapter of the Salvation Army to help families in need. All inquiries will be confidential!
Please scroll all the way through the newsletter as I have attached some community resources and activities your family may be interested in.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at (419) 886-3244. Thank you again for making the start of the school year smooth and efficient! We could not have done this without your support! Your children are doing so well with all of the changes, and we are so proud to be part of the Valley!! Go Colts!!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Stacey Swank
