Vince Carter is married to Ellen Rucker and has one child. Vince Carter was actually a cousin of Tracy Mcgrady which is a pretty good guard that is now a legend. Also Vinie Carter is his sister, Michele Carter is Vince Carter’s mom, Vince Carter Sr is Vince Carter's dad, Chris Scott Is Vince Carter's brother in-law, Kai Michele Carter is Vince Carter's daughter. All of his family loves him very much and they all inspired him to get to the National Basketball League.
Vince Carter went to the University of North Carolina and played very well. He was actually 6’7” in college and played small forward in 1995-98 and he also weighed 215 pounds. He averaged 12.2 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, 1.9 assist per game, and he played 103 games. His college career points was 1267.
Vince Carter got drafted as a 1st round number 5 pick in the National Basketball League for the Toronto Raptors. He has been in the league now for 17 years, and his first year he played a total of 2828 minutes, He also had 696 Field Goals in his rookie year, 127 3 pointers, 401 rebounds, 327 assist, 16 steals, 48 blocks, and all those stats was in 77 games. Now he plays on the Memphis Grizzlies with 329 minutes played, 30 field goals, 12 3 pointers, 19 assist, 11 steals, and 8 blocks, in a total of 25 games. So he did great his rookie year and now he is older so he plays worse.
Vince Carter is a pro athlete and an amazing at dunking. He won Rookie of The Year in 1999. Also he won the Dunk Contest in 2000. Then later that summer he won a Olympic Gold Medal. So Vince Carter was pretty good at basketball when he was a rookie but now he is okay. He do'sent have much more time left to improve but he will always be known as a legend.
