PENN PRIDE: we have. we are.
Students: See the pictures below for a "snap shot" of learning and fun today.
Teachers: Classroom teachers are focused this year on math instruction. We're learning more about direct instruction, distributed practice, increasing engagement, fluency, number sense and mindset. Our goal is that enhanced instruction will increase student engagement and understanding, and thus increase the percentage of students who are assessed as proficient in May.

Message from the ICCSD Foundation…
The Foundation covers 100% of the costs for programs, events and experiences for our students at every grade level. Soon, you will be receiving a mailing from the Foundation. We want you to know that, when you give to the Foundation, you are directly reaching the families and children in your school –including your own children.
KinderTales, the Visiting Author program, Symphony Goes to School, School of the Wild, LiveArts@Hancher, Robotics clubs, AVID, Lexia & Dreambox and more…are examples of the kinds of programs provided to students in the District at no cost to the individual buildings or PTO/PTA’s. If you are able, please consider supporting the effort. As we know, if we all could give a little, it would make a huge and lasting impact on every student that calls this District home.

PANTHER VOCAB
These are given to individual students to acknowledge that he/she is following expectations.
Students then put their name on the back of the paw and turn it into their classroom PAW JAR. The teacher draws from the Paw Jar at least 2 times a day and the student whose paw is drawn may get a special privilege determined by the teacher or the chance to choose their reward.
ROAR: This note is given to a classroom to recognize the whole group for following expectations. Classrooms get to celebrate when they have earned 20 ROARS. Some classes are already working on their second set of 20 ROARS!
Cleaning out closets? We'd love your donations.
