On Tuesday, May 12, we will be distributing all remaining student supplies and items left in classrooms. Please see the plan below. Please bring with you any books you are finished reading that belong to Terra Linda.
As we continue with Remote Learning, it is really important that students continue to read each day. If they could read one hour each day, that would be amazing! They could actually grow a reading level this way! At a minimum, they should read 30 minutes every day. This will help them maintain their current reading level.
As a reminder, completing at least one lesson in Dreambox everyday will help students maintain their math skills.
Here is the Zoom information for ALL of our Friday assemblies:

Thank you for your continued efforts to keep your children engaged in learning!
With Appreciation,
Christy
Student Supplies Pick-Up Plan
Classroom teachers have been packing up student supplies and materials that were left behind in classrooms. This includes items in desks and cubbies. Each student will have one plastic bag filled with their items and labeled with their name.
Please plan to come to Terra Linda during the 1-hour window below to pick up your student's bag of items.
In addition, please return any Terra Linda Library Books or books you borrowed from teachers that you are finished reading. We will have a bin available for returning Library Books (these books have a barcode on the front that is printed with Terra Linda Elementary). We will also have a bin for each teacher where we will place books loaned to you by classroom teachers
Vehicles will drive through the bus lane on the north end of the building near the Terra Linda park. You will drop off books at one station and pick up one bag of supplies per student at another station.
- 10:30-11:30 Student Last Names A - G
- 11:30-12:30 Student Last Names H - O
- 12:30-1:30 Student Last Names P - Z
Remember to bring library books and other books from school that you are finished reading!

Terra Linda Staff "We Miss You" Parade
Our staff will visit Terra Linda students by driving around the school community together. We will drive by the major bus stops and Terra Linda neighborhoods. Be ready to wave at us from your home or a nearby sidewalk!
It is very important the students and families follow these Safety Guidelines:
- Students and families may not approach cars or run into the street.
- Students that are by themselves must have parent/guardian permission to be outside.
- Everyone should practice social distancing guidelines by remaining at least 6 feet apart from others. This means you cannot give hugs or high fives to friends or neighbors.
- Spread out along the Parade Route. You can stand with those in your home, but everyone must spread out from neighbors.
- Current guidance is to wear a mask when outdoors - this is up to each family.
Family Survey & Input Form for 2020-2021
This year, we would like ALL Terra Linda families to answer at least the first 3 questions of our Family Survey & Input Form.
If you would like to add additional input before we make decisions about class placements for the upcoming school year, please answer the remaining questions. You can provide input for any or all of your students who are planning to attend Terra Linda next year.
While we do not take requests for specific teachers, parent/guardian input will be considered in the formation of classes. Teachers carefully consider a number of factors to create balanced classes, including gender, academic levels, second language needs, special education needs, talented and gifted needs, and behavior needs. Families will be notified of class placements prior to the Meet your Teacher event in August.
Family Survey & Input Form is due by Friday, May 15.
Kindergarten Enrollment
Kindergarten registration is open online for the 2020-2021 school year. Please help spread the word to any families and neighbors who have children ready for Kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year. Students must be at least five years of age on or before September 1, 2020 per state statute, and live within the attendance boundary of our school. We invite you to register early as this assists us in confirming enrollment for staffing purposes.
