Week of August 23-27
Wildcat Family,
It was a great first week of school. I would like to invite each of you to our Meet the Teacher night on Tuesday, August 24. It is come and go from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm and parking is available in the front and the back. This night will give you an opportunity to walk your child's schedule and put a face to teacher names. If you would like to visit with the teacher regarding your child's performance or concerns, you may set up a time with the teacher via email.
Students received their Chromebooks on Wednesday with a charger. If you student brings their charger to school, be sure that it is labeled. This can be done with duct tape or a chrome Sharpie with your child's name. We do have charging stations that students can lock up their devices to charge, but students must be provide their own chargers. Don't forget to purchase the insurance for the Chromebook at MySchoolBucks.
Our car line is getting better each day. A few reminders - car riders are dropped off and picked up in the front. You must be parked in the side parking spots in order for your child to get in the car. If you are parked on the far side, students must use the crosswalk. There is NO drop off/pick up on the side parking lot. This parking lot is only for our CBI students only. Please see the map below.
Below is a YouTube video on how to view grades on Skyward, and there is also information provided on how to set up a parent account on Canvas.
ID badges were handed out last week. Students must wear their ID badge at all times. For replacements, the following breaks down the cost for IDs: $3 for ID, $1 for badge sleeve, $1 for lanyard, or $1 for temporary paper badge.
We welcome parents to come eat lunch with your child. When coming for lunch, check in with your drivers license at the front desk. You will be given a sticker to show that you have checked in. Food can only be brought for your child.
Any student attending the high school football games at the MISD Stadium must enter with a parent. There are no drop offs. Students may sit with parents or in the Middle School Section. Middle School Students are not allowed on the High School Side and must enter through Gate A.
