Urgency is an advertising technique that uses persuasion in a following manner; When advertisers use phrases like "while supplies last" or "limited offer" to convince you that you must get the offer right now!
Example: proactive on sale is a limited time offer! get it while supplies last
The definition for Counter-Argument is the following; gives you an argument opposing the pros of the product. They are really honest commercials.
Example: 20 day fix, it has pros and cons.
When an advertiser uses facts or test results to promote their products or services.
Example: when a car company uses safety test results or crash test dummy results. To promote their car's safety, features and performance
Commentary is an advertising technique that uses persuasion in a following manner; An ad that relates to real life struggles in a playful or serious tone.
Example: Manulife - In the advertisement they talk about a retirement plan for the Future. They also explain about a modern family life, By talking about They're kids being sick, Getting in a car accident ect.
Cutaway is an advertising technique that uses persuasion in a following manner; people show you what's on the inside than what's on the outside.
Such as Before and After.
Example: Lipozene - They show you before and after person that used there product and lost weight.
When advertiser/companies say you can trust them. They offer you something reasonable and then you can believe them.
Example: (LAWYERS) You can trust us to help you with your case. If you don't win you don't pay us.
Concession in advertising is when you agree with an opinion or point. That does not support your product. A concession is more useful because the audience is more willing to listen because you seem reasonable and honest.
Example: A lesser named soda company that accepts that Coca Cola or Pepsi as the most popular soda brand but their brand has less sugar or artificial ingredients.
