June 11, 2021

As we complete the 2020-2021 school year, a year that is sure to be remembered as one of loss, disruption, change and constant adaptation, let's take a moment to celebrate the amazing resiliency of yourselves and your children. You showed that you could rise to the challenges of new ways of learning, be a constant source of optimism and show unconditional empathy and compassion towards others. We made it this year and are stronger than ever!

2021-2022 PBiS Goal

Did you know that as of June 11, 2021, 80.25% of our students have one or fewer behavior referrals? 321 out of our 400 students have received one or fewer behavior referrals for discipline thanks to our school-wide support and commitment to PBiS (Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports)! Our students are making great choices and learning quickly to avoid repeating bad ones!

Our overall goal was to have 85% or more of our kids receive one or fewer minor/major behavior referrals this school year. While we did not meet this goal this school year, striving towards it has given us ideas for improvement during the next!

PBiS Participant Recognition

Congratulations to the staff of MES on completing all the requirements to be considered a “PA PBS Network Participating Site” during the 2020-2021 school year. This school year is like no other and so the network adjusted requirements to their “Recognition” system. This year we have successfully met the criteria of 'Participating' and next year we will pick back up with where our 2019-2020 Tier 1 & 2 PBiS status left off.

MES Spring Choral Concert

MES Spring Concert
MES's music teacher, Mr. Bryant, has been working hard this year to get our kids excited about music with a lot of restrictions in place. And, after a challenging year; it’s time to celebrate! Each grade level has prepared a few songs, and has performed a concert for you. Although it wasn’t be an in-person event, it is being viewed at home by many as an at home concert!

A huge thank you to our music teacher, Mr. Nathan Bryant, in organizing this event and opportunity. He has been enthusiastically working this school year to get kids excited about music, and I think you will see in the video that his hard work paid off! We would also like to thank Mr. Mark Eisert, MHS's Media Teacher, and MHS students, Sebastian Gisewhite and Ethan Phillips who assisted with the technology needed to record and edit the concert. And, most of all, thank you to our wonderful kids for signing their hearts out! They put on an amazing concert!

I hope that everyone enjoys the show!
