How do I check out a book?

It's simple! Sign-in to the Staff Portal and choose Professional Library. There are several options, such as print books and audiobooks, but if you want professional books to help with your teaching, click on Professional eBooks. You can browse for a book or if you know specifically what you want, you can search for a title.

Overdrive & MackinVia

Interested in reading eBooks for fun?

There are two different places you can access ebooks and digital audiobooks if you want to read for enjoyment or entertainment. These books are mostly fiction.

Overdrive: download the app to your device and search for location. Choose Frisco ISD as your library. When it asks for your library card number, it is the username that is in the library system. You can try your normal FISD log-in (it is case sensitive)...if that doesn't work, contact Ms. Hill. THERE IS NO PASSWORD! Overdrive has all fiction books and is shared with every school, teacher, student, etc. in the district.

MackinVia: These resources are for OUR SCHOOL ONLY. You can go online to MackinVia and sign-in using your Frisco ISD login information (make sure you choose Lebanon Trail High School as your school). click on ebooks or digital audiobooks on the side menu. Browse or search for the book you want. There is a MackinVia app you can download to turn your device into an eReader!

*If you are doing research in your class, this is also where students will access the online databases!!!
