Coyote Connection
Volume 1, Issue 26
A Note From Mrs. McNeil
I hope that you all are doing well today and enjoying a nice long weekend. We ended our week Friday with an opportunity to gather as a grade level in our gymnasium for the first time in preparation for our Literacy Day speaker on March 3, Ellen Oh. Each grade level will have a special assembly for our Literacy Day. It was joyful to see each grade level coming to our gym for practice on how we enter and exit the gymnasium for events. It was exciting to feel the energy in our gym and begin to anticipate events and school gatherings like the pre-COVID days. This week, we are surely excited to conduct our Coyote Club selections during FLEX. Please be sure your student is present Thursday during FLEX (8:20-8:50) so that the student sees the Coyote Club presentation and is able to choose 3 top choices. Tuesday, we will be recognizing our February Students of the Month and Thursday, our Coyote Staff Member of the Month. We are also planning a Fire Drill this Tuesday. On Friday, we are hosting our final $1 HAT DAY. Please encourage your Coyote to participate in our Literacy Day Hat Day event. The money collected will be used to purchase prizes for our Writing Contest Winners. We have had over 43 writing submissions!
Be sure to order your student's yearbook. The deadline is February 21st!
Please continue reading this newsletter for more information. There is a place at the bottom that lists some upcoming events you might want to know about.
Respectfully,
Christine V. McNeil

Spring Golf Squad Opportunity @ FCMS
Golf Squad at Forest Creek Middle is for both new and continuing students and provides weekly opportunities for your child to learn the technical swing mechanics (i.e. putting, chipping, full swing, etc.) as well as the social skills required to enjoy golf, the clubs, and golf course (i.e. vocabulary, etiquette, rules, history, etc.) all under the instruction of an LPGA or PGA Professional. Golf is a very challenging and fun sport that can lead to college scholarships. So start early and start now...boys and girls! Even if your child already plays, it is great to enjoy weekly, convenient lessons from the pro. (Click Here to read more on how and why your child can benefit from continuing professional, golf practice with Golf Squad at your school.)
