Cyber Day

With inclement weather on the horizon, we want to make sure we are prepared for a cyber day because there is a possibility that we will attempt to have school via a cyber day on the fourth inclement weather day this year. Our goal is to have a "practice" day on the first inclement weather day, so we need to communicate this to our students. If all GCPS schools "practice" on this day, then we can test this process in order to be prepared prior to the fourth day. If you want to learn more about Cyber Day expectations, please search for the information page in C&I. On Thursday, Dee Dee and Jennifer will train you on our school wide plan and assist you in preparing for cyber days. Thinking forward, you should identify AKS that are most important for each content area in January and February using your instructional calendars. In staff development, you will have an opportunity to create relevant, rigorous assignments focused on these AKS using the e-CLASS structure for a cyber day. This is a great time to incorporate GOFAR, Classworks, Discussion Boards, Newsfeeds, and other resources you've learned to use this year. If you have questions prior to Thursday, please see or email Dee Dee or Lara.

A BIG Thank you!

Kathy Burnette...thank you for going the extra mile for others. The custodial team and a few teachers gave you a "shout out" because of how you supported them and the customer service you showed when they needed help. Thank you for being a great teammate!

Kelly Mizelle...thank you for helping our All Pro Dads club on Friday morning. You are always willing to do whatever it takes, with a smile, for students and our school. Thank you for being a great teammate!

Remaining steadfast in its quest to become a system of world-class schools, GCPS is focused on the following:
