Hot Lunch
The school has decided to begin online ordering for hot lunch and pizza. Hot lunch orders will use the new system starting now for October orders. Pizza will begin in November since it has already been ordered for the month of October. Click the button below to learn how to sign up. Hard copies of the directions will go home in today's envelope.
Hot lunch orders are due THIS Thursday, September 28th. With the new system in place, the school can no longer accept late orders. Be sure to create an account and order before the end of the 28th in order for your child to receive hot lunch.
Please join us for an evening of visioning for the future of St. Mary School. The purpose of this meeting is to begin site dialogue around a common definition and understanding of STEM and receive information from stakeholders for STEM site planning.
For success in STEM it is crucial to include our parents, guardians and other stakeholders voices in a conversation on our school's future. During this meeting, we will begin site dialogue around STEM, experience a STEM activity and receive valuable information from you, the stakeholders, for STEM site planning.
Two service hours will be awarded (per participant) for attendance, and we will raffle off free pizza for the month of November (1 slice each Monday and Friday for the entire month for 1 child) to one lucky participant.
Childcare will be available for $5 per student for anyone who needs it.
So that we can properly plan for your arrival and ensure that we have enough supplies for the activities, we need you to RSVP to this event. RSVPS are due no later than Thursday, October 4th. Click here to RSVP.
Fall Fiesta
As you can see from the graphic above, this year's theme is Island Style! Students may come dressed in their favorite island wear. Hawaiian shirts, dresses, and other island attire is allowed. Students may come in board shorts and rash guards, but other bathing suits are not permitted. Outfits must adhere to our free dress code policy which can be found in the handbook. Sandals are allowed so long as they have a back strap. If you have any questions about attire, contact Mr. Mobilio. Please note that he works on Mondays and Wednesdays only, and he will respond during working hours.
The performance will be upbeat and fun and is an event not to be missed!

Box Tops
Hello St. Mary School Parents!
My name is Leone O’Neal and I’m the Box Tops for Education™ Coordinator for St. Mary School. I look forward to working with the school and parish community to make this program even more successful and help earn CA$H for our beautiful school!
Please help our school out by clipping Box Tops on participating products. Each classroom has a container designated for this program. If you bring any Box Tops or labels to the school or parish, please put them in a Ziploc/Baggie.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at jamesandleone@cox.net or (760) 208-5478. I’m here to make the St. Mary Box Tops for Education™ program a huge success this year. Thank you so much for your help!
God Bless,
Mrs. Leone O’Neal

We are here to support you and your family with the tools and resources for happy and healthy hearts. Below is American Heart's October 2018 newsletter. It includes a heart healthy turkey chili recipe – perfect for fall!
October 29th is also World Stroke Day. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness of the prevention and treatment of stroke (America’s #5 killer). Read the newsletter below to learn the stroke warning signs and how to act quick through the F.A.S.T acronym.
