Happy holidays to everyone. The staff at Marcellus Middle School wishes everyone a holiday season filled with joy.
Things to know . . .
- The holiday break begins on December 20, 2021. Students will return to classes on January 3, 2022.
- The December after-school dance/party will be on December 17, 2021 and will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are still in need of volunteers to chaperone the party. Please call 269 646-3158 if you are interested in chaperoning.
- There is a donation box in the Middle School lobby for the Marcellus Fire Department's toy drive. They are taking donations of new unwrapped toys for local families. They will be accepting donations through December 10, 2021.
- The first semester ends on January 21, 2022. It is a half-day for students.
Students of the Week for November
Ariah Evans - Student of the week November 08 Ariah does well in her classes and is always positive and upbeat. She is truly a pleasure to have in class. | Allie Johnson-Otis - Student of the week November 15 Allie is a great all-around student. She has a positive attitude always helps others that may be struggling in class. | Randy Bornson - Student of the Week November 29 Randy is a wonderful student and stands out for his incredible effort in class. |
Ariah Evans - Student of the week November 08
Ariah does well in her classes and is always positive and upbeat. She is truly a pleasure to have in class.
Allie Johnson-Otis - Student of the week November 15
Allie is a great all-around student. She has a positive attitude always helps others that may be struggling in class.
Gage Rumsey - Student of the Week November 29 - 6th grade Gage is a great student and is excelling in his studies. He is doing great in math class and leads the class for Imagine Math learning. | Students eagerly waiting for school to begin. | Braden Wilson - Student of the Week November 29 - 8th grade Braden's teachers love having him in their classes. He has a positive attitude, an amazing work ethic, and is helpful to students and staff alike. |
Gage Rumsey - Student of the Week November 29 - 6th grade
Gage is a great student and is excelling in his studies. He is doing great in math class and leads the class for Imagine Math learning.
Principal's Advisory Committee
The Principal's Advisory Committee is a group of students that plan student events for the school. The PAC planned the after-school dance/party in October, came up with dress-up days for homecoming spirit week, and is busy working to plan the December after-school dance/party and holiday dress-up days for the week before the holiday break. This is a wonderful group of students that volunteer their time to make Marcellus Middle School a great place for all students.

And more to know . . .
- The following days will be 1/2 days: January 11, February 8, March 8 and May 10.
- Please call the office by 7:30 a.m. if your child will be absent from school
- 7th grade and 8th-grade students will be at the elementary school and high school for their last class of the day
- Breakfast and lunch are provided for all Marcellus Community Schools' students free of charge this year. Breakfast provides energy that is necessary to focus and be productive at school and contributes to increased academic achievement. Breakfast is offered to Marcellus Middle School students at the following location: Marcellus Middle School 125 S Burney St. Marcellus, Mi 49067. Breakfast is free for all students.
