Hat Day
On December 11th, students and staff are allowed to wear a hat if they bring $1.00 to help support Student Council. Hats off to charity.
Peppermint Village
The Peppermint Village is about buying presents and gifts for family and friends. The Peppermint Village is December 7th - 11th.
Breakfast with Santa
Breakfast with with Santa is December 12, 2015 from 8:00am to 10:00am! You need to RSVP if you choose to go.
Christmas Parties
Parents donate money or an item for our Christmas Parties. The Parties are December 18, 2015, 1:45-2:30At the Christmas Parties we will play games that our room moms have came up with and enjoy food they have provided for us! Also students are allowed to wear appropriate pajamas to school, if your child wants to wear slippers they can but they have to bring shoes.
Coat Drive
The Coat drive is about bringing a coat that is not ripped or has a hole in it for pepole that can't afford a jacket for the winter when they get cold.
Cabeza de Vaca
Us kids are learning about the amazing explorer Cabeza de Vaca. He was born in 1490, survived 8 years away from home,his men dropped down from 250 to 4 and one of those 4 was Cabeza de Vaca. He faced many dangers in his 8 years away from home and into the wilderness that has Armed Strangers, many bugs and insects and since he didn't know how to swim he couldn't get across the river and he didn't have any more rafts because they sunk. Cabeza de Vaca died in 1570 after writing his book.
Reading Homework
Every child are required to do 30 minutes or more on stride for language arts or reading, students also have to read 20-30 minutes each night and log it for the parent or guardian to to show to Mrs.Timmons.
Math Homework
Students are required to do their Math Homework or your student will get their log signed,but if your child has a homework pass then your child doesn't have too. But if Mrs Lindsey says you can't use your homework pass you can not use it.
Spelling Bee
The Spelling Bee is January 8, 2016, at 8:15 am! There is going to be 24 students from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade competing in the Spelling Bee. There will be one winner and a runner up. The winner of the School Spelling Bee is Delaney Bogan and the runner up is Preston Greer.
Fun Friday
Students are allowed to bring a piece of technology or board game to play with at the end of the day on Friday. If your child texts or calls during the school day they will not be able to bring there piece of technology. Fun Friday is only allowed for people that get 0 marks that week and 1mark you get half of Fun Friday and if you get 2 marks you lose all of your Fun Friday. At the end of each 6 weeks if you get 0-6 marks you get 40 minutes of Fun Friday.
Half Days
The Half days are happening on January 14 and 15, the students are getting out at 12:30.
