The Memorial Message
September 2022
Dear Memorial Families,
It was also very exciting to see so many parents attend the September PTO meeting. The varied talents and ideas are always appreciated. All Memorial parents and guardians are members of PTO and are always welcome at each meeting. I hope you can attend the October 12 meeting at 3:30. However if you are unable to attend the meeting and still have a desire to volunteer to help with upcoming events, I would encourage you to contact the PTO President, Kristen Elinkowski.
The first grading period report cards will be available on Skyward Parent Portal on Friday, October 14. If you are unable to access it, please call the school. We can help you. Additionally, parent teacher conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, October 19 and Thursday, October 20. We will be sending you the link for you to sign up at a time that is convenient. If you are unable to make it to parent teacher conferences, please let yout child's teacher know that you would like to set a time to meet, even if its by phone. It is so important that we partner together to help each student reach their potential.
Please read below about out fabulous instructional assistants. They are an integral part of the Memorial staff. All the Memorial students and teachers benefit from their hard work and they are very much appreciated!
I hope you are getting out and enjoying the fabulous fall weather.
Respectfully,
Mrs. Misecko, Principal

Reminders from the Office:
- First Quarter Report Cards will be available on Friday, October 14 in the Skyward Parent Portal.
- Water Bottles are needed everyday. We have bottle fillers and no water fountains.
- Please plan ahead and do not schedule appointments or miss school during ILEARN testing, April 17 - May 23, 2023, for students in grades 3-5.
- All pick up and drop offs should be done on the curbside on Milton, not in the middle of the street. We have had some near misses with cars passing by.
- As the weather changes, please help your child come prepared for recess. We do go outside on all days unless it is raining or 0 degrees with the wind chill.
- The Lost and Found is VERY full, please encourage your child to look for their missing things. There are many hoodies and water bottles in the lost and found.
- As per the student handbook, students may NOT bring toys to school. Pok-e-mon cards do count as toys. Thank you for your help with this!
Why Attendance Matters
Meet our Awesome Instructional Assistants
Mrs. Jen Seefeldt
My favorite thing about working in Kindergarten is seeing the student growth from the beginning of the school year to the end of the school year. It is so rewarding to watch them succeed throughout their elementary school years.
Mrs. Coralee Higgins
What I love most about being part of Memorial is building relationships with the students. I love to see them grow over the course of the year. It amazes me year after year the growth each student makes.
Mrs. Laura Ingram
As the newest member to the Memorial Elementary Aide staff, I would like to say that everyone has been super helpful and welcoming. The kids are very sweet and it has been nice to work with them and get to know them. I look forward to continuing to help all of the wonderful teachers!
