The cardiovascular system maintains homeostasis by beating faster to maintain balance at the speed that you are moving at. A illness of the cardiovascular system is called Atherosclerosis, it is where the hardening of artery walls (by cholesterol and other lipids) and the vessel is getting thinner and thinner until it is blocked and the person may have a heart attack.

Interaction

The circulatory system works with the respiratory system as it supplies oxygen and nutrients to the whole body. The circulatory system works endocrine system as it transports hormones through the blood to the organs. For example, one of the hormones produced by the heart helps control the kidneys' release of salt from the body. The respiratory system brings in oxygen that goes into the blood then the circulatory system pushes the blood around the body.
