Triumphs, Obstacles, and Career Goals


Steve Jobs has had many triumphs in his career. He wasn't just a businessman, but he also was a visionary that made many advances in technology. Jobs shook up the music business, changed the way software is sold, and altered the language of computer interfaces. During his successful career, he built Apple up into one of the most valuable corporations in the world. Apple has changed the lives of many people. Many of the products sold by Apple are used daily by most Americans.


Steve jobs faced many obstacles throughout his life. First of all, he was put up for adoption at a young age. He overcame that and had a good childhood. He was also fired a few times throughout his career, but that never stopped him from reaching his goals. Later on in his career he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. This was by far the biggest obstacle of his career. He refused to undergo surgery to treat it, and was forced to retire. He would later die at age 56 from his cancer.

Career Goals

Steve Jobs was known for making very high goals and doing whatever he could to achieve them even if they weren't very realistic. Above all, his main goal was to make a difference. He did that in many ways throughout his career with his work at Pixar and Apple. He innovated the industry and brought Apple to the top. All in all, he met most of his career goals and was a very successful businessman.
