Principal's Welcome
Hello families!
This coming week we have a couple of very important events coming up: THursday, August 18 is Registration Day and Friday, August 19 is WEB Day! Registration Day is an opportunity for you to take care of required forms and fees, in addition to getting schedules and Chromebooks to our new students. WEB day is for all of our new students in the building: from 8 am - 12:30 pm the WEB Leaders will host all of our incoming 5th graders with some fun activities and a tour of the school and from 1 - 2 pm we invite our new-to-the-district 6th graders to get to know the building and ask any questions.
Registration Day will be a very quick process if you are able to complete the required items online ahead of time. If not, everything will be available for you to complete at the school. We look forward to seeing you then!
If you have any questions or concerns, please call our office at 269-565-3900.
Your Partner in Education,
Mrs. Tamara L. Jamierson
Principal, LMS 5/6 Academy

Registration Day
Registration Day is meant to complete any forms needed before school starts and give you the opportunity to pick up your child's schedule.
There are a few things you can do ahead of time to make your trip to the middle school go a little faster this day!
1. Fill out your Home Information Report ahead of time! This saves you from having to fill it out in-person. ALL FAMILIES ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE HOME INFORMATION REPORT (HIR) in order for our school to continue to qualify for free breakfast and lunch for ALL students. The Free/Reduced lunch application is OPTIONAL**.
**You may want to complete this if you feel your family would qualify for free/reduced pricing and you'd need reduced prices on Chromebook fees, athletic fees, etc.
2. Have your child's online registration done in Skyward! (Many of you already did this last spring for the upcoming school year -- if you're unsure, just call our office and we can check for you.)
3. If you have a new student to our building and plan to pick up a Chromebook for your child to use this year from our technology department, pay the technical support fee ahead of time so you don't need to wait in line to pay. The technical support fee is $20. (This fee is reduced for families who qualify for free/reduced lunch.) If you are a first-time user to the SchoolPay system, use the email you have on file with us and then click " I Forgot Password" to get your account set up.
If you are able to complete these steps prior to registration day, your visit to the middle school will be very quick and easy! If not, all of these items will be required when you come that day to registration.
Other items available at Registration Day:
- WEB Day information
- Summit Pointe Mental/Behavioral Health Support
- Transportation/Busing Registration
- Technical Support (Chromebook repair / Login Assistance)
Click the buttons below to access all of the online links for these steps!
When you get to the Meal Magic website, click on "Guest" at the bottom. From there, you can click on the "Household Info Report" option!
Students are not required to get a Lakeview-issued Chromebook, but it is highly recommended. Our technology department is happy to assist with any technical support or repair issues that arise through the year which is why we require a yearly technical support fee. After your child's 8th grade year, the Chromebook is theirs to keep!
5th Grade WEB Day - August 19
We are so excited for our incoming 5th graders to join our building this year! WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) Day is a great opportunity for your incoming student to meet their future classmates, explore the middle school building, and ask questions about the middle school experience. Our counseling department and 8th grade WEB leaders guide our new 5th graders through team-building activities and tours of the building to help them navigate their first days of school successfully. **Please note: WEB day is for students only. Parents/Guardians should plan to drop off and pick up only.
Busing is available to and from the middle school for WEB day from specific sites in the district. Click on the busing link to access the different locations and times.
New Student Orientation (for new 6th grade students to our building this year) - August 19
For any 6th grade students who are new to our building this year, we invite you to come to our New Student Orientation from 1 - 2 pm on August 19 as well! You'll have a chance to meet some of our 8th grade WEB leaders, ask questions about the upcoming school year, and have a tour of the building.
We look forward to seeing your student there!
