The Holiday Season Brings Excitement to the Primary School
December at LRP is filled with Gingerbread Houses, Elf on the Shelf, the Polar Express, hot chocolate and the Nutcracker. Our hallways are filled with amazing art work that students have created under the guidance of Judy Bowen, our art teacher. Parents treasure these pieces and often frame them so they can be admired for many years. Our classroom teachers do fun enrichment projects that bring the season to life for our students. We appreciate our PTA for setting up the Christmas Country Store each year so these young children can learn the spirit of giving.
It really is magical to interact with Primary School students as they explain their Christmas wish list, or describe the shenanigans of their Elf on a Shelf! Teachers capitalize on this excitement by having students write in journals, or publish work that can be shared with their parents.
Enjoy this short video. We hope it captures our seasonal spirit!
