A Message to Our Families
On May 25th, George Floyd, a Black man, was brutally murdered by a police officer. The recent events in Boston and around the country remind us all how much fear, uncertainty, and anxiety each of us is living with this spring. We know many of our students are feeling pain, fear, and confusion right now; and we are here to support them. As a community of educators, we will not remain silent on the issue of injustice and inequality in our country. We are here to stand with all our families and with all of our children. We care about each of you and your families, your health and your safety. Please remember that you can connect with any of us and our counseling staff for support. We are here and we care.
This week your children's teachers will be sending out a survey to check-in with them and to see if they need support or a safe place to share their feelings.
Below I am providing direct access to some of the resources that the District has provided on its website.
