Breakfast Ends at 7:30
Car rider and walker parents, we need your help! Many students are not arriving early enough to eat breakfast and begin the day on time. This is causing havoc in our instructional schedule. Beginning Monday, September 13th, we will go back to closing the cafeteria to car riders at 7:30. We want every student to be able to eat breakfast so please have your student arrive early enough to be in the cafeteria by 7:30. This will give them time to eat and begin instruction on time. We appreciate your help!
Accelerated Reader is BACK!
We are excited to announce that our Accelerated Reader (AR) program is back this year! Each student in grades 1-5, who reaches his goal, will attend a Lunch Bunch Celebration each 9 weeks! Students should come home with AR books from our library each day. Please encourage your child to read at home and prepare to take their AR quizzes by asking them questions about the story.

Mask Mandate
Reminder: No one, at no time, will be permitted into the building without a mask.
We work diligently at VES to prevent the spread of Covid-19 at school. Thank you for complying with all of our policies and procedures to keep everyone safe. No one is allowed into the foyer without a mask! Please do not send your student to school if your child is not well. Please also contact the office. It is very important that we are notified if your child has tested positive or been in direct contact with someone who has tested positive.
