The West Linn-Wilsonville School Board held a public meeting on Monday, April 4. The following are important news and notes from that meeting.
CREST Shares Program Updates, Prepares Board for 20th Anniversary Celebration
CREST Director Amy Schauer, Garden Coordinator Helena Kilstrom, and Youth Transition Specialist Becky Hancock provided provided several updates for the Board. CREST was particularly instrumental in providing science curriculum and hands-on learning opportunities for students during comprehensive distance learning and hybrid learning. CREST has reintegrated into classroom learning this year, increasing outdoor and hands-on opportunities for students of all grade levels.
CREST — Center for Research in Environmental Sciences and Technologies — is celebrating their 20th year, and will celebrate with a special 20th Anniversary Celebration on April 30. The entire community is invited to enjoy student music, food from local food trucks, and learn about CREST and everything the program offers.

Board Learns About Upcoming Virtual Family Literacy Night
Geared toward families with primary-age students, the entire West Linn-Wilsonville community is invited to attend and participate in the collaborative event that includes the West Linn and Wilsonville Public Libraries. Scheduled for April 14 from 6-7:30 p.m., the event was created with planned activities that are based on feedback from multiple parent groups.
