Heart 2 Heart
Celebrating 75 Years of Catholic Education in Coronado
A Message from Principal Harris
Dear SHPS Parents,
It was wonderful to see so many of you last Wednesday at “Back To School Night”. Parental involvement is one of the critical components to a child’s academic success. A reminder that quick and transparent reporting of covid-19 cases or “close contacts” is critical to keeping our campus open for in person learning. The link for parents to report is located below in the newsletter under COVID Reporting. We will contact you right away when we receive the information. Lastly, please be aware that carpooling students are very vulnerable to Covid-19 exposure. Should a student in a carpool test positive, all students who ride along will be asked to quarantine for up to 14 days off campus.
Art starts this week! We are excited to have Ms. Andrea Bogarin as our art teacher. She has worked in our summer camps for the past 5 years and has her own Paint and Wine company. In September, students will be learning about color theory by painting Kandinsky's Circles. Our students love working with her!
We are very blessed at Sacred Heart Parish School to have the resources to employ instructional aides to support the students and teachers. In order to optimise their talents, we are shifting several of them to new classroom assignments for the remainder of this school year. Ms. Rodriguez is moving from 1st grade down to Kindergarten. Mrs. Nava is moving from Kindergarten up to 4th grade. And Mrs. Paez is moving from 4th grade down to 1st grade.
Peace of Christ,
Peter Harris
