Harmony is committed to keeping you informed and involved in your child’s education. Please take some time to review the information below.

Important Dates

February 21-25 Mid-Winter Break-Harmony DC PCS will be closed for staff and students.

February 28 School Reopens for students and staff.



March 10 There will be no school for students. This is a staff professional development day.


March 11 Parent-Teacher Conferences-There is no school for students. Please make arrangements to meet with your child's teacher either in person or virtually.

Covid-19 Tests for ALL Students

We distributed COVID-19 at home antigen tests to all staff and students Friday. We expect everyone to report the test results to the District’s website on Sunday, February 27th. If we don’t have the results, we will test students Monday morning before they enter the building.


Late Arrivals

Classes start at 8:30 am, and we expect all students arrive by 8:30. If you bring your child after 9:00 am, we need a doctors’ note or a legitimate reason. If students arrive after breakfast or lunchtime, we expect them to have their breakfast or lunch before coming to school. Our teachers and staff cannot provide food service outside the designated times. If your children bring their lunch and arrive after lunchtime, they need to eat before entering the building. We will not allow them to eat during class time.


Student Intent to Return Form

It's almost re-enrollment season for the 2022-2023 school year. The official re-enrollment and DC residency verification will start on April 1, 2022. However, we need to know if your child(ren) will be returning next year so that we can reserve a spot for them. Please fill out and submit this form to the main office by March 4, 2022, to secure your child's spot for the 2022-2023 school year. We will contact you on or after April 1, 2022, to start the official re-enrollment of your child for the next school year.


Application for 2022-23 School Year!

Application for the 2022-23 school year has started. Harmony DC PCS has limited space. Current students are not required to apply again. If you have another child who would like to enroll in Harmony DC PCS, we highly encourage you to apply before the lottery date (March 1st). Harmony DC PCS provides priority to siblings. We have limited spaces for the 2022-23 school year.

This week we finished our Healthy Minds Healthy Bodies unit!! Prek4 tasted a variety of fruits and veggies while learning about healthier habits ! Proud to say every student tried EVERY ITEM!

Staff Spotlight - Meet Ms. Butler, Kindergarten Teacher

How long have you worked at Harmony? I have been here at Harmony for 2 years

How long have you been in education? 6 Years

What is one thing you love about your job? I love the smiling faces and the hugs I receive from my students.

Where is your hometown? My hometown is Capitol Heights, MD.

What are some of your favorite things? My favorite thing is sunflowers!

What do you do in your spare time? In my spare time I am listening to music.

What do you want everyone to know about you? I would like for everyone to know how much I am passionate about teaching.

Staff Spotlight - Meet Ms. Ashley, Bilingual Aide/Administrative Assistant

How Long have you worked at Harmony? I have been at Harmony for 7 gracious months.

How long have you been in education? For three years, which includes internships and tutoring I took part in during my undergrad years.

What is one thing you love about your job? The fact that I am surrounded by amazing individuals that help make Harmony the great place it is today. I also love the amazing and unique students that attend Harmony.

Where is your hometown? I am from Houston, Texas.

What are some of your favorite things? Reading, traveling, and hiking. I love reading fiction, memoirs, science fiction and poetry novels. The thing I like most about traveling is exploring a new place and discovering the new cultures and views throughout the world. Hiking helps me destress while getting some exercise in.

What do you do in your spare time? I like hanging out with friends and family. I think that spending time with loved ones is important, therefore it is my favorite thing to do. I also like exploring new restaurants, coffee shops, and boba places in the area.

What do you want everyone to know about you? I want everyone to know that I care deeply for everyone here and in my life. I appreciate all the staff that's here at Harmony and I care for every single student like my own. Also, May Geminis are the best!
