Principal's Corner
Good Morning Eagle Families,
We have just two weeks of school left for the 19-20 school year and are preparing to close out the year with our students. We look forward to celebrating with our 8th graders on June 11th between 1-4. 8th grade families can expect an invite, vehicle/walking pass, and more details to come in the mail next week! Our 6th and 7th grade teachers are also planning some virtual Zoom activities for students.
While grades for the current semester will look different, please encourage your child to finish the semester strong and get their work in. If you aren’t sure how your student is doing, all teachers have been updating their grades throughout this week and ParentVue should be accurate as of today. Please login to your ParentVue account to get an idea of how your child is ending the year. I would encourage you to reach out directly to any teacher with questions about how things are going.
Thanks for your continued partnership during this challenging time. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns!
Make it a great week!
Jared Freeman
Principal

Do you still need to pick up locker items?
The past couple weeks our staff has been hard at work cleaning out approximately 440 hallway lockers and hundreds of PE lockers. All personal items have been bagged and are being organized for our curbside pick up. WE STILL HAVE A LOT OF ITEMS THAT NEED TO BE PICKED UP. Your last opportunity for pick up is June 1st from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.
This is also a perfect time to drop off any textbooks, library books, classroom library books, or any other school related items. Please do not try to return your Chromebook.
As a reminder, students and families are not permitted in the building, so please sign up for a pick up time using the links below. Also, if your child does not remember their locker #, no worries! Students can look up their number via StudentVUE and parents can look it up via ParentVUE. We will also have a list of names and locker #s to help if needed.

PARK Food Pantry
On Wednesday, our staff put together approximately 20 food boxes along with other items that were available through our Meadow Park Food Pantry. If you are in need of an extra box of food during these challenging times, please stop by our school on May 28th between 9 am and 11 am or on June 1st between 5 pm and 7 pm. It is on a first come, first serve basis.
Also, if you or someone you know would like to donate to our food pantry, we are currently in need of gift card donations to Fred Meyer, Target, or Winco. Gift cards can be dropped off at school during our school office hours each Tuesday and Wednesday between 8 and 10 am or you can email your gift card donation to mpmseagles@gmail.com.
We are so appreciative of the support you have continued to offer our Meadow Park community!

Game of Life Math Project
The students in Mr. Slick’s classroom completed their "Game of Life" math projects. They worked really hard thinking about their futures, careers, where they want to go to college, how much money they will make doing the job they want, budgeting their money, meal planning, and making a grocery list.
This is a fun project to see students go after something they want for their future and it creates more conversations at home than any other project I do. Students get to discuss budgeting and shopping for groceries with their parents. Students gain more insight behind the work they put in while taking classes in school. This project gives students a vision for where they are headed and they can see how school can help get them there. Some students chose a career path that they thought they wanted, only to find out that after doing this project, that’s not what they wanted to do at alI. Students are given a lens to see their future and they love that.
