Belton MS Band Newsletter
School Year 2022-2023: Summer Edition
Welcome to Band!
General information that applies to all students and parents can be found towards the top of every newsletter, while information specific to your child's ensemble can be found in that particular section by scrolling towards the bottom.
Be sure to read through everything and contact a director if you have any questions.
Instrument and uniform fees can be paid at this time, as well as filling out ALL of the required paperwork. It is much easier to take care of this before school starts rather than waiting and having to pass forms back and forth from school to home and back. On-site help will be available, and please email Mr. Pulley if you cannot attend. See you then!

Develop Healthy Practice Habits
Mr. Chilton will be helping to teach our Beginners this year using RC Theory, a video series designed to teach music theory and literacy. He will also be our top clinician this year for the TMEA All-Region Band!
Last year was great with not only competing at UIL for the first time, but also earning Sweepstakes! We want to be even better this year as our group grows in both size and ability. New this year is After School Sectionals once a week starting the week of Monday, August 29. Oh, and by the way, no practice records for this group!
We would love to have you and/or your student's help for Band Registration on Monday & Tuesday, August 1 & 2. Sign up to help by clicking on this Sign-Up Genius.
Now, go practice!
All-Region Auditions will be here before you know it, and students should "Be Prepared" before the school year starts. Etude music will be shared after it is released on Saturday, August 6.
This group had a good year, but has plenty of room for growth. New this year is After School Sectionals once a week starting the week of Monday, August 29. Oh, and by the way, no practice records for this group!
