Thank you for the hard work and effort you put into your classrooms each day. We have much to be proud of. We have made excellent strides towards our wildly important goals. Staff members are putting forth great efforts to strengthen relationships with students.

Micro Headlines
- Tuesday, January 29th is an early release day. The Enhancement Staff will meet in the Innovation Station with staff from the other elementary schools in our feeder pattern. All other teachers need to complete this form to select their session. Session information can be found here. Locations of sessions will be added next week.
- Student clubs on Tuesday. Full early release schedule can be found here.
- If you have not already, please participate in the JCPS Survey regarding expanding SBG to secondary schools: Survey Link
- Please be sure to include any before or after school duties into your substitute lesson plans.
- Welcome Aboard Mr. Denning! 2-5 teachers - Mr.Denning is available to support you in your classroom when he does not have students in the afternoon. Like he did his first two days, look for him to stop by looking to assist.
We were sent a free trial from Book Flix. Feel free to use and give feedback to your SIT Rep. BookFlix is a tool to engage and support all beginning readers. Early readers build fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension using built-in literacy support tools – including read aloud and word-by-word highlighting. BookFlix supports reading comprehension and oral language gains.

- Jarrett Learner is a children's author. I stumbled across his website, he has a link to some Cartooning Templates that can be used with students and creating drawing prompts. Check out his site for these creative resources: https://jarrettlerner.com/activities/
- In February, the District is hosting round 2 of Proficiency Scale Training for all teachers (homeroom, EC, enhancement, etc). See dates here: Training dates Mrs. Creech will send out information regarding subs.
- Staff: Please be careful with your key fobs. If you have problems with them or have lost one, please contact Ms. Shepherd. Substitutes should check one out daily or use teacher keys left in mailboxes.
- Micro Elementary Employee of the Month Nomination
- Kindergarten Registration will be held on March 11th from 7:30 -6:00 pm.
- Book Love Grants: Apply for a Book Love Foundation classroom library.
