HES Curriculum Newsletter
News You Can Use & More...
Just in Time Resources & Articles for December & January
This monthly newsletter is intended to serve as a communication tool for all HES schools about best practices and free tools and resources you can use in your classroom! All to support what you do every day - giving your best!
We have provided a page for ALMOST ALL content areas. Still missing this month are PE & Health and World Languages. Each content area has a specific dedicated page, plus you will find several resources for Technology instruction at the bottom of the newsletter. The intent is to provide FREE resources you can use starting tomorrow!
The emphasis for this month is Differentiated Instruction - which you will notice as you click through the links provided - and comes directly from your School Improvement Plans as well as feedback from your November PD day. The resources are numerous and span all content areas. Therefore, the newsletter this month will incorporate an integrated approach to the content.
Feel free to share out ideas and lessons you find helpful. This is intended to build our own professional dialogue about the things we do to promote excellence in our classrooms!

Professional Memberships
This month's focus is on a free professional networking site, LinkedIn. If you aren't familiar yet, this site allows for social networking professionally. As with any social site, be safe & be aware of sharing "too much" and "too little." You can subscribe to professional journals and your university. LinkedIn is one of the fastest growing professional networking sites.
Here are a few recommendations to get you started: iNACOL & ISTE for technology; Educational Leaders & Common Core State Standards Network; and many of your colleagues from HES already on LinkedIn.

Each month we will highlight different professional opportunities that you can take advantage of.
