Works of Mercy Serve - Inspire - Evangelize
Regular outreach to the needy in the local community
"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy."
Mission trips don't have to go far to find souls in need of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Works of Mercy, an outreach of Franciscan University of Steubenville, enables students to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the hungry, sick, imprisoned, homeless, and strangers right here in the Ohio Valley and nearby Pittsburgh.
In prayer and various community services and projects, students involved in the Works of Mercy commit themselves to serve the poor, neglected, and the needy near to home. Through the corporal and spiritual works of mercy, students actively participate in caring for those in need. The Church teaches us to be merciful through the works of mercy.
