A recap of our visit to Seaview Primary School
Board members and volunteers had a productive visit to Seaview in August. The group distributed the donated backpacks and school supplies to students of all grade levels.
The Education Committee also announced the new high school scholarship recipients for the 2018-2019 school year. This year's winners, Natanya Parchment, Lexon Harrison and Yaneque Daley, have obtained excellent grades, high GSAT scores, and have proven to be leaders of their school and community. Natanya will attend St. Elizabeth Technical High School, Lexon will attend Monroe College and Yaneque will attend Hampton High School for Girls.

The teachers at Seaview also got a special treat during this visit. The board members hosted a leadership development seminar and conducted team-building exercises. After a full day of activity, the teachers enjoyed a group dinner with the Foundation's board members.
"We believe these programs will continue to motivate the teachers and in turn motivate the students to continue learning." - David Root - LMF Board Member
Lynne Mitchell Foundation Scholars Graduate High School
In 2013, Lynne Mitchell Foundation awarded its very first high school scholarships to Ashanique Russell and Ashaylia Duncan. We are proud that both successfully completed their high school education and graduated in July. Ashanique (pictured above) and Ashalyia both attended Seaview Primary School and from there went to Hampton High School for Girls, achieving excellent grades and maintaining their scholarships throughout the five years of high school. Now they start the next chapter, with Ashanique now attending Northern Caribbean University and studying Hospitality Management and Ashaylia accepted to attend the University of Technology beginning in January 2019. Lynne Mitchell Foundation is proud and honored to support both Ashanique and Ashaylia in pursuit of their college degrees.
