Congratulations Graduates!

Congratulations to our graduating class of 2020! We are so proud of you! You will all do wonderfully in secondary school. Don't forget to come back and see us in the fall!

Mr. Worthy is Retiring

After working with intermediate students for the past five years at Truedell and educating students over the past 32 years, Mr. Worthy is retiring. We will miss him and wish him many exciting new adventures ahead!

Mrs. Hammond is Retiring

Mrs. Hammond is retiring after working in education for the past 31 years. We will surely miss her sunny disposition and compassion for all learners. We wish you all the best in your retirement Mrs. Hammond, and lots of fun ahead!

Changes to Next Year's School Organization

Mr. Worthy's retirement has brought about some changes in our school organization for September. We are excited to welcome Mrs. Birk, an experienced teacher from Newburgh P. S. to Truedell. Mrs. Birk will be teaching the Grade 4/5 class.

Mrs. Montgomery will now be teaching the Grade 6/7 class. Mrs. West will be working in the role of Student Support Teacher.

Sadly, we must say goodbye to a few members of our support staff team: Ms. Amy and Mrs. Shunk. Mrs. Ruta, our School to Community Itinerant Teacher will be supporting students at other schools next year. We have appreciated all of their hard work with our students.

Camps for Students Aged 4-8

Hello Parents and Guardians!

ASUS Camps registration for our virtual programming is now LIVE!

As ASUS Camps is a Non-Profit organization which aims to provide exceptional care for Kingston youth, we understand how challenging it is for families to provide consistent programming for children all summer long.

Remotely we will aim to provide families with the tools to not only execute “camp from home” but also to remain connected to the ASUS Camps community which is cherished deeply by many. We would like to continue the supportive dynamic that ASUS Camps upholds as a resource for parents and children, even if ASUS Camps is unable to run within the same capacity.

Our team at ASUS Camps is striving to tailor our remote programs to the lifestyles of a busy parent. While we want to make sure kids are remaining active and engaged this summer, we also understand that online programming is challenging for some. We want the structure of our program to be convenient and accessible.

Our goal is that this resource is available whenever a parent may choose to utilize it. Not only will we be offering daily sessions virtually for small groups, but we would like to further provide online 1:1 care for children. Although we might be colouring over video chat rather than in person, we know that it is possible to fulfil the natural spirit and innate mission of ASUS Camps.

Register now at https://www.asuscamps.ca/register-now-

Feel free to email us with any questions at camps@asus.queensu.ca

All the best,

The ASUS Camps Directors
