Hello CMS Family,
Monday, August 15, we welcome our 7th grade students and families to our building from 4:00PM to 6:00PM for Eagle Expo. This is a drop-in-style event with informational sessions at 4:15PM, repeated at 5:15PM. Although this event is geared toward 7th grade students, if you have an 8th grade student who is new to CMS, you are welcome to attend.
Tuesday, August 16, we officially kick off the 22-23 school year! Your student may enter the building as early as 8:00AM. Our first class begins at 8:30AM and our last class is released at 3:30PM.
Please ensure that your student knows his or her first block class as we will have printed schedules waiting for them with first block teachers. Students only need to bring a pen or pencil and some paper for the first day of school. Our first day is designed to help our students build their confidence from day one as we provide tours, review expectations, distribute IDs, and answer their questions about how to be successful in middle school.
A few quick tips concerning our car line are as follows:
- Double stacking in the mornings begins at 7:45 AM.
- Cars are not allowed to drop off or pick up students in our staff parking lot.
- Please pull all the way forward in the car line following the car in front of you to help us get everyone in and out as safely and quickly as possible.
- Do not look for your child in the afternoon. They are looking for you. Keep pulling forward to follow the car in front of you. Your child will walk to the car.
- Once your child has exited or entered your vehicle safely, you may pull to the left lane to exit the car line.
- Students should enter and exit the vehicle from the passenger side only.
We ask that you confirm end-of-day transportation plans with your student. If you need a bus number or pick-up and drop-off times, please email email@example.com.
Wednesday, August 17, students should arrive on campus with IDs properly displayed and their fully charged Chromebooks.

We all want to get in and out of the car line as safely and quickly as possible,
and that means we need your help!
If you have a high school student or another adult who drives your CMS student,
please share this important information with him or her.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM THE CMS CAFETERIA
Meal pricing for the 2022-2023 school year is as follows:
Student Meals: Full Pay Breakfast $1.50 Lunch $2.85.
Reduced Pay Breakfast $0.30 Lunch $0.40.
Free / Reduced Lunch Program:
We encourage all parents and guardians to apply for the free and reduced lunch program.
Access to the application can be found on the Student Nutrition page on the district website or go to https://www.lunchapplication.com.
Payments to student accounts can be made in person to the cafeteria or online. To make a payment online please register your student/students at K12PaymentCenter.com You will be asked to put in their student ID #. If you do not know this number, please contact the school.
