Rock'n'Roll
Rock'n'Roll was greatly brought upon the US Citizens by Elvis Presley, the "King of Rock". It became popular very quickly in the early 1950's. In 1950, the industry was only worth $189 million. By the time 1960 came around, the business was worth over $600 million. Teenagers was the group of people of bought rock'n'roll records the most. Due to the heavy rhythm, simple melodies, and some lyrics, some adults were starting to think that it would lead to teen delinquency and immortality. Some concerts were even banned for everybody, including adults.
McDonald's
McDonald's is a fast-food restaurant that had been opened in April of 1953. Two men had opened up the restaurant, and they happened to be brothers. They made millions of dollars and sold over a million hamburgers within a year of opening. Even today, this business sells over a million hamburgers a year.
