AIM TANZANIA
June 2018
Answered Promises
Six years ago on an AYC trip to Tanzania God gave me a promise that I would be back in Tanzania and that my life in missions was not finished. It's a promise I've held onto for years and though it didn't happen the way I thought it would, God had His perfect plan. Here I am six years later walking in that promise. I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who made my time in Tanzania this summer possible. Thank you for being sensitive to His voice and giving. I love you all!
East Africa Sub-Regional
I was honored to attend East Africa Sub-Regional in Kenya with the Smoak's before we arrived in Tanzania. Missionaries, Nationals, and AIMers from all over East Africa were present for a week of leadership training hosted by Terry and Melanie Shock.
MINISTRY
ACTS 2:38
We taught ACTS 2 and this sweet girl received the Holy Ghost in Sunday School at the Bwiru Church.
Ladies Conference
I had the opportunity to speak twice at Tanzania Ladies Conference this year. The Next Steps students ministered on Sunday where at least 4 women received the Holy Ghost and several healings were reported.
Next Steppers
The Next Steppers began to arrive the first of June. I am so thankful for an opportunity to mentor the next phase of Next Steppers and AIMers. I attended the Next Steps Program in 2014 in West Africa.
Kiseke Church
I attended the Kiseke Church at our Bible School on June 10th with a team of Next Steppers. They led in praise and worship and Sunday School, as well as the preaching. There was a woman (pictured below) who woke up in so much pain she said she wasn't even going to make it to church. But as she prayed God told her, "Just make it there, and I will do the rest." As we prayed with children around the altar I felt impressed by God to ask adults who need a healing to come forward. She came forward and testified that God healed her! That Sunday God filled 4 with the Holy Ghost and 5 healings were reported! God is so good! I am so excited to see what He has in store for the rest of the summer.
FOREVER ANGELS
Forever Angels Baby Home is an orphanage that host newborns to five years old along with five special needs children. These kids are from abandoned, abused, or neglected homes. Getting to love on, teach, and hold kids who simply need love is something I will never take for granted. We arrive at 7:30AM Tuesdays and Wednesdays to assist with feeding, bath time, and pre-school. I've discovered that morning snuggles are my favorite! We will continue our efforts at the Baby Home throughout our stay in Tanzania this summer.
