Points of #PHMExcellence
#PHMExcellence is more than just academic excellence; it's also kindness, empathy and helping others. Year round, but especially during the holiday season, our schools find creative ways to engage students in community activities teaching them the importance of giving back. Here are some examples:
- At Northpoint, students collected nearly 2,000 boxes of cereal for an area food bank.
- At Grissom, student food drives help keep the schools' food pantry well stocked for students & families in need.
- At Penn, teachers collect student donations for Riley Children's Hospital for the best "Turkey Legs!"
#PHMExcellence is about giving thanks! Penn-Harris-Madison is thankful for all our students, families and staff. We wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!
Moran staff is so excited to help students celebrate Thanksgiving next week! On Monday, many students will participate in our second Moran Thanksgiving Day Parade. Students have decorated cups as their 'floats' and we will use our Sphero robots to parade them through the gym. On Tuesday, Mrs. Trowbridge is hosting the Turkey Trot in Gym. Students will get physically active in preparation of the large meal they'll be eating on Thursday.
We wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving! We are thankful for our amazing Moran parents!
A Note from Moran PTA
Need an appetizer to bring to a holiday event? Or maybe breakfast for Christmas morning? These pastries are your answer! Our students are selling Butter Braid Pastries from LaBraid. You have one more week to collect orders and turn in forms and money on Monday November, 21. These will be ready for pick up on Wednesday, December 7. The funds collected with this fundraiser will go to student field trips, classroom supplies, and student needs.
