We hope you are enjoying the last remaining days of Summer Break! Whether you have had a chance to travel, visit family and friends, go to the beach, or maybe just hang out in Richlands, we hope you have had, and will continue to have, a safe and relaxing summer. At Trexler we have been busy preparing for your arrival and are looking forward to a fantastic school year. Trexler's PTO Wants You!

Parent involvement is a key component to student success. Let’s develop a strong alliance of parents, staff, and community members at the start of the 2017-2018 school year to enhance our children’s educational experience. TMS’ PTO needs volunteers. If you are interested in being an active voice on the Trexler PTO; please contact the school at 910-324-4414. We are anxiously waiting to hear from you.

Upcoming 6th Grade Only Events

Lunch on The Lawn: All 6th grade parents are invited to join their child for Lunch on the Lawn on Friday, September 1st from 12:30-1:30 on Trexler's baseball field. This annual event, sponsored by Trexler's PTO, is to welcome all 6th graders to Trexler. Everyone will receive a hotdog, chips and soda. Students will eat their regular lunch prior to the event. Don't forget a blanket or chair to sit on!

6th Grade Dance: The PTO Sponsored 6th grade Dance will be held on September 7th from 2:15-4:30. Admission is $6.00 and concessions will be sold. Parents may arrive early, but students must be picked up by 4:30.

Below is the list of school fees for students. Please make sure you submit your fees as soon as possible so that we can buy the necessary materials to make this year successful.

2. Instrumental Music (Band and Orchestra) $ 10.00

3. Vocal Music $ 5.00

4. Career and Technical Education (Sunding, Hurley, Foy) $ 2.00

5. Instructional Supplies $ 5.00

6. 1:1 Technology Usage Assessment/Fee $ 25.00


*To be considered for a Free or Reduced fee amount (Fee Waiver), please submit a copy of the letter you received in the mail approving your child for Free or Reduced Lunch.

Free and Reduced Lunch Applications

This year parents are able to fill out the application for Free or Reduced lunch online. This online system makes it much easier and quicker for a decision to be made regarding whether the student will get free or reduced cost lunch. To submit an online application click here.

Sports

Our football and softball teams kick off their seasons with away games against Hunter's Creek Middle School. The football game will take place on Tuesday, September 5th at 6:30 at White Oak High School. The softball team will travel to Hunter's Creek on Tuesday, September 12th for their first game at 4:00.

OCS Mobile App

Onslow County School District is please to announce our new mobile app designed specifically to keep our families better informed and connected to what's going in our schools. The new Onslow County Schools mobile app is available for both iPhone and Android smartphones.
