Adolf Hitler

World War 1
Even though he was an Austrian citizen, Hitler, joined the war in August 1914. He spent most of his time away from the front lines. He appeared a many major battles during World War 1 and even got wounded at the Somme. After the war, he was honored for his bravery and was given the Iron Cross First Class and the Black Wound Badge.

Death
On April 29, 1945 Hitler found out Benito Mussolini was assassinated. This scared Hitler so much, he and his wife only a day after marriage committed suicide on April 30, 1945. His body was burned and days later Germany surrendered to the Allies. HIs death was the cause to World War 2.
