SJCS Family Newsletter
November 2022
On this most beautiful All Saints Day, I pray you are experiencing the mercy of Christ. All the students at both of our schools attended beautiful Masses today and it was evident that the Holy Spirit was with us. Enjoy the images below of the Litany of the Saints from Carissimae Dei.
As we transition into November, I would like to get your input on our progress so far this school year. This is an opportunity for us to do a quick check-in on our Long Range Strategic Plans goals as well.
To keep things simple, I kindly request that each family complete one survey for your oldest enrolled child at each campus so we get a good scope of feedback to help us reflect on our work and monitor our progress moving forward.
Elementary (PK-5th) Parent Survey
Secondary (6th-12th) Parent Survey
As always, if you have any questions, please let me know.
God bless & Go Eagles!
Mrs. Mishler
P.S. Thank you to our families and school community for helping us reach our $50,000 goal with Brazos Valley Gives! I will be going to order our new Transit van on Thursday!
No Uniform November
Students may bring $25 to the office at their school to pay. For more details, watch the video below and review the email from Mrs. Kleiber sent at the end of October.
Get those FISH Hours!
Working the concession stand is a GREAT way to log family service hours, network with other Eagle family members and have LOTS of fun! Click HERE to sign up today and make it a family night at the Eagle gym.
Volunteers are needed nearly 4 nights a week mid November through January and your student does NOT have to be on the basketball team to volunteer! Sport your Eagle gear and come support our basketball teams all while serving our school community. See you at the game!
Veterans Day Ceremonies
We will celebrate Veterans Day at both the elementary and secondary campuses on Friday, November 11th. We invite any family members to join us by checking in to the front office at either location. Make plans to join us!
The elementary ceremony will begin at 8:15 AM and the secondary ceremony will begin at 9:40 AM.
Fall Family Picnic
Wednesday, November 16 · 7:00 – 8:00pm
Mom's Favorite Things
What's your favorite thing...A nice bubble bath soap, a cool tech gadget, the perfect planner, a good bottle of wine? Join us Under the Oaks (in the front lawn of the Elementary Campus) on Wednesday, Dec. 7 from 6-8 PM to share your favorites!
Feeling sick? Please stay home!
As we are moving into cold and flu season, we ask that you please DO NOT send your student to school if they do not feel well before they leave the house in the morning. We understand the desire to not miss instruction, however, we want to err on the side of caution because the health and safety of our students, staff, and families is more important!
