The right of the people to be secure in houses
The right of the people to be secure in their persons,houses,papers, and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrant shall issue, nut upon probable cause.
Historical background of amendment four
The founders believed that freedom from government intrusion into ones home. In 1604, Sir Edward Coke identified this right. He said "The house of every one is to him as his castle and fortress, as well for his defense against injury and violence for response". When the 4th amendment became apart of the constitution , It was originally for the federal government.
Amendment four in my words
No police officer can just walk into your house unless they have a search warrant and a good exact reason why they have to search and exactly where.

United States vs. Leon 1983
Why they are going to court?
Because a police officer stopped Leon and Evans for a traffic violation and had a warrant to search them and found marijuana. Evans is using the fourth amendment because the police officer searched with invalid warrant according to Leon.
Courts decision
The courts decision was ruling that evidence obtained under a warrant that is later used to be invalid could be used if the law enforcement officer acted reasonably.
