Helen Lehman Elementary School Newsletter
HAPPY NOVEMBER!
Helen Lehman Families,
It has been a trying time for all of our students, staff, and families. With the Kincade Fire, PG&E power shut-offs, evacuations and smoke in the air, it has been an all too familiar scenario for all of us. We hope that you and your families are safe and home again.
We are excited to have school open on Monday, November 4th!
- Exterior damage assessments have been completed
- Interior damage assessments including air quality measurements have been completed
- Air filters have been inspected and/or replaced
- All rooms have been cleaned
- Our amazing staff will be checking in on all of our students on Monday morning
- Counseling will be available for those students in need of additional support
- Our custodial staff has been working non-stop to make sure our school is ready
Take care of yourselves and others,
Mrs. Cooper and Mrs. Williams

OPEN ENROLLMENT ENDS NOV. 15
Most students attend their neighborhood school, but some students have reasons to request another school. "Open Enrollment," from Oct. 1 - Nov. 15, is the time to make that request for the 2020-21 school year. Applications must be completed online during that window. Families who need assistance can come to the SAFE office at 211 Ridgway Avenue. School capacities may restrict availability. See the SRCS district website for more information on Open Enrollment, also known as an "intradistrict" transfer.
