College Info & Financial Aid

Hello parents!

Congratulations your student has made it to their senior year, now what? Counselors have been meeting one on one with seniors to review their high school transcript, test scores (EAP English and Math, SAT/ACT), activities, and help them with their college list. Students are also highly encouraged to make an appointment with Ms. Stoll for additional help (M-Th from 8:30am-2pm). If you have questions, please email your counselor.

There are many important dates coming up in the next month. Be sure to make your calendar:

Saturday, October 1st (online): FAFSA/Dream Act open

Wednesday, October 5th @6pm (PHS Library): College Application Night (info on 4 year colleges)

Tuesday, October 11th @7pm (Casa Grande HS): Financial Aid Night (FAFSA explained)

Tuesday, October 18th (Tutorial & Lunch in CCC): College Application Workshops

October 26th @6pm (PHS Library): SRJC Night

October 1– November 30 (Online): CSU filing period

November 1 – November 30 (Online): UC Filing period

Wednesday, November 2nd @6:30pm (PHS Library): Cash for College Night (apply for FAFSA)

Thursday, November 3rd (Tutorial & Lunch in CCC): College Application Workshops

Tuesday, December 6th (Tutorial in CCC): Scholarship Workshop


SAT Dates (register online): 10/1, 11/5 & 12/3 (Deadlines: 9/1, 10/7, & 11/3)

ACT Dates (register online): 9/10, 10/22 & 12/10 (Deadlines: 8/5, 9/16 & 11/4)

Seniors planning to go to a four year college MUST take the SAT or ACT by December 2016. Certain majors also want SAT subject tests, for more details see here:

College Visits in College & Career Center (Weekly)

Additionally, please make sure you are checking the College & Career Center website and/or Facebook page for weekly updates on college visits in the CCC. We have already had visits from UC Santa Cruz, UC Santa Barbara, University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado Mesa University and we have many more to come! These are also posted on the white board outside the CCC, send in weekly emails to our senior class and are in the daily announcements.
