October Monthly Newsletter
While attending my Library PD last week, I learned about a new website to create newsletters called www.smore.com. It is very user-friendly and easy to navigate. I am going to try to send you a monthly newsletter with upcoming events, new books, and other resources that I think would be helpful to you in the classroom, as well as for your students to have a love of reading~ Ms. Bell
Monster Mash Book Fair
October 26-30 is the Monster Mash Book Fair in the Library. Hours for the book fair will be 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m daily, as well as Thursday night during Trunk or Treat! Teachers that buy five books to add to their collection will get 1 book for FREE!
ABDO E-Books
I was fortunate enough to get some extra money last Spring and add a lot of new E-Books to the collection. To this date we have over 700 E-Books that I have added as the librarian. Thank you to the Kinder team for letting me attend your team meeting and help you get started with E-Books in the classroom. I look forward to meeting with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the upcoming weeks. 4th-6th graders have all had an introductory lesson with me in the library and have accessed many books already.
The Amazing AR Race
I am updating the race track in the library at the end of the six weeks and it looks as though almost all classes are currently participating. The top five at the end of the 1st six weeks in order are: Davidson(4th), Threlkeld(6th), Vee (4th), Franco(3rd), and Wright(3rd). Continue reading and taking your quizzes. The more you read, the more you succeed!
