NFDL Assessment
Our district uses a Balanced Assessment System approach (summative, benchmark, formative) to assessing student learning. We value multiple measures of data, as opposed to using one source of information.
- ACCESS Testing Window - December 3-February 1
- State assessment results were be made public on the DPI portal on October 2nd
- State Report Cards will be public on November 13th
Local Benchmark Assessments
Thank you to everyone for helping get important Fall assessment data on our students. This is one piece of the puzzle to help drive instruction for student learning.
Additionally, we did an great job understanding when it was appropriate to retest a student with our STAR assessments. On average a student in our district went up about 100 SS points on their retake. This is about 2-3 grade levels depending on the grade level. Be sure to let me know when a student retake an assessment. I will ensure this is reflected in the system so that our data is accurate.
Formative Assessments
How do you know students met your daily learning target?
How does this guide your next steps?
Assessment Resources:
Effectiveness Project - My Learning Plan
We believe in using instructionally sound practices to impact student learning, not to impact the Effectiveness Project. If we do this, our work in Frontline will take care of itself.
